Add Your Occasion Calendar to Your Website (Video)

We have made it easy for your to add your Occasion calendar to your website. Simply copy the appropriate embed code from the Settings > Website calendars page and paste it at the right place within the Calendar page of your website.

To find the embed code for the calendar you'd like to add to your website go to Settings > Website calendars.

Then click on Embed for the calendar you'd like to add to your website and copy the code.

Once you have the embed code simply add it to the page of your website where you'd like your Occasion calendar to appear.

Here are some more specific instructions for popular website builders:


GoCentral

GoCentral, currently, does not have a feature to allow embedding 3rd parties into their website. However, you can connect your Occasion calendar using a button and a link. Here's a video that will walk you through the steps.

Option 1: If you are adding your "Calendar" as a new link to your navigation, then follow the steps below.

  1. From your GoCentral account, when adding a new page, select - "Link to external website" as the page option.
  2. Give it a title and paste your "Calendar Share URL". Publish your changes.

Option 2: If you are adding your "Calendar" as a button to a page, then follow the steps below.

  1. Edit a section to your website that allows for you to include an "action button" to your GoCentral page.
  2. Edit the "action button".
  3. Give it title - example: "View Class Calendar"
  4. Under "Link", select "Another Website"
  5. Paste your  "Calendar Share URL". Publish your changes.

GoDaddy

  1. Go to the page where you wish to add your Occasion Calendar by selecting it from the drop-down on the top-right corner of the website builder.
  2. From the widgets available on the left, scroll and find HTML Code.
  3. Drag and drop it into your page.
  4. Delete any code that is currently in the widget.
  5. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the widget.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Resize the area of the widget to ensure that your Calendar displays properly.
  8. Click Publish on the top-right to save.

Wordpress

  1. Find the page you wish to add the calendar and click "Edit".
  2. On the page editor, find the "Text" tab. Usually, this is located on the top-left corner of the section in which you add content.
  3. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in "Text Editor".
  4. Click "Publish" to save your changes.

Joomla

First, you will need to create the functionality to embed an “iframe”. You will only need to do this the first time you embed Calendar.

  1. Click "Extensions“, and then select "Plugin Manager".
  2. In the left menu under "Filter", click "Select Type" and then click "Editors". In the list of results, click "Editor – TinyMCE".
  3. At the top of the page, click the "Basic Options" tab.
  4. Scroll down until you find the "Prohibited Elements" setting. Remove “iframe” as one of the prohibited elements.
  5. Click “Save and Close”

To add the calendar to your article:

  1. Go to the Article/Page where you wish to add your calendar.
  2. Click "Tools" and select "Source Code" or on the bottom right of the content editor, click "Toggle Editor".
  3. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the box.
  4. Click “Save and Close” to save your changes.

Wix

  1. After login to your Wix dashboard, select the page where you would like to add Calendar.
  2. You will need to use an "Iframe/ HTMLwidget".
  3. Click Add at the top left of the Editor.
  4. Click Embed.
  5. You will see a gray box added to your page. Resize and locate the widget on your page.
  6. Click on the gray box, and then select "Enter Code".
  7. Select "Code" from the Mode drop-down.
  8. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the section below the drop-down.
  9. Click the "Apply" button to close the window.
  10. Publish your page to save your changes.

Weebly

  1. Once in the website builder, go to the section where you’d like to add your Occasion  Calendar.
  2. From the toolbar on the left, find “Embed Code” and drag and drop into the page. 
  3. Click "Set Custom HTML".
  4. Click "Edit Custom HTML".
  5. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the module.
  6. Click outside the module.
  7. Publish the page to save your changes.

  1. Once in the website builder, go to the section where you’d like to add your Occasion Calendar.
  2. Click the section.
  3. You will see some options on the left.
  4. Click "A Gear icon".
  5. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion dashboard and paste it in the module.
  6. Click “Update.”
  7. Publish the page to save your changes.

Squarespace

In addition to the steps below, here's a  video that will walk you through the steps as well.

  1. Once on the SquareSpace dashboard, click on the page you wish to edit.
  2. Under “Page Contents”, click “Edit Page Contents”.
  3. Click on "Bubble".
  4. Under the “Basic” content block, you will see “Embed”. Select that and add it to your page.
  5. In the “Edit Embed” window, click the “</>” icon on the right.
  6. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the box, within the window that opens up.
  7. Click “Set” to close the window.
  8. Click “Apply” to close the Embed window.
  9. Click "Save" to save your changes.

Webs.com

  1. After logging into your Webs.com account, find the page to which you wish to add your Calendar.
  2. From the tray of modules at the bottom of the page, click "Other" and then, drag and drop the "Custom HTML" module to your web page.
  3. Double click on the module to add custom HTML.
  4. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it in the new pop-up window.
  5. Click the "Save Changes" button.
  6. Click "Done" to save and publish the page.

Shopify

Adding to the Home Page

  1. From your Shopify website builder, click "Online Store" (left menu), and then, click "Themes".
  2. From the top-right corner, click "Customize Theme'.
  3. In the left menu list, double check to see if there's already a "Custom HTML" section. If not, you will need to add it by clicking "Add Section", select "Custom HTML", and then, click "Add".
  4. From the left menu list - click "Custom HTML".
  5. Select any code that's in the box and delete it.
  6. Copy the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website and paste it into this box.
  7. Click "Save" to publish your changes.

Adding to a Specific Page

  1. Once you login to the website builder, click "Online Store" which is on the left menu and then, select "Pages" from the list.
  2. You can either select an existing page or add a new page for the calendar.
  3. In the text editor section of the page, look for the code icon "< >" which is at the top-right corner of the content box.
  4. Delete any code that is currently in the box, and replace it with the Calendar embed code from the Occasion website.
  5. Click "Save" to publish your changes.
