Manage Customers

In this article, you will see how Occasion can help you manage and track the information you are collecting on attendees.


View information about a customer

  1. From your Occasion account, click on "Reports" in the top navigation bar and select "Customers" from the drop-down.
  2. You will be presented with a table listing all of your customers.
  3. To see details about a specific customer you can either search for them by entering their name in the search box at the top of the page, or scroll down and look for the customer in the list.
  4. When you find the customer you want to view information for, click on "Show Customer". You will now see all details about the customer, including any notes you have created for them, and past orders they have placed.


Export or print list of customers

  1. From your Occasion account, click on "Reports" in the top navigation bar and select "Customers" from the drop-down.
  2. Click on the "Export Customers" button from the right of the screen.
  3. Select "Print" to print the list, or choose the format you'd like to export your customer list in.


Edit customer information

At this time we do not allow merchants to edit customer information.

Add notes about a customer

  1. From your Occasion account, click on "Reports" in the top navigation bar and select "Customers" from the drop-down.
  2. You will be presented with a table listing all of your customers.
  3. To see details about a specific customer you can either search for them by entering their name in the search box at the top of the page, or scroll down and look for the customer in the list.
  4. When you find the customer you want to add a note for, click on "Show Customer".
  5. Enter your note under the "Notes" section and click the "Create Note" button.

Import customer data into Occasion

If you already have customer data in a separate system, and you want to import that into Occasion, please send an excel spreadsheet with the following columns to help@getoccasion.com and we will import them for you.

Only the first three fields are required, all others are optional.

  1. Customer's First Name (required)
  2. Customer's Last Name (required)
  3. Customer's Email Address (required)
  4. Customer's Address
  5. Customer's City
  6. Customer's State (use IL for Illinois)
  7. Customer's Zip Code
  8. Customer's Phone Number
  9. Customer's Sign-up Date 
  10. Customer's Notes
