Create Frequent Per Day Mini Sessions

In this article, we will show you how you can frequently repeating per-day mini sessions. A mini-session event is one in which you have lots of times available frequently for customers to book in a given day.

Here's how you will set-up a mini-session event.

In this example, we will assume that you have 

  • Availability on January 31 every 30 minutes from 9am to 4pm.
  • Each time can be booked by up to 10 people.
  • Each person will pay $40 at the time of booking.

Let's step up this event:

  1. After logging into your Occasion account, go to the "Service templates" from "Settings" in the top-right menu.
  2. Find the "Mini Session" Service template.
    1. If you don't see it, click the "New Service" button at the top-right corner and then, click on "Mini Session".
  3. Under "Mini Session" Service template - click the "Create Listing" button
  4. Provide a tile and description, click "Next"
  5. Set the event date/time and frequency. In my example, I will do the following:
    1. January 31, 2017 - 9am to 4pm
    2. Session duration is 30 minutes
    3. Repeat interval is 30 minutes
    4. Click "Generate" button
    5. Verify the times that have been generated, and then click "Continue"
  6. Skip the "session fee" i.e. leave it at $0
  7. Set the maximum bookings per time slot to 10 (in my example).
  8. Skip the checkboxes and click "Next"
  9. Click "Finish" to do a final check
  10. Under "Images" Tab 
    1. Upload an event image
  11. Under "Pricing" tab
    1. Make sure the fixed fee is $0
    2. If you collect sales tax, then set the percentage here.
  12. Customize the "Email receipts" tab
  13. On the right, scroll down and find the "Select number of attendees", hover over and click "Edit".
    1. From the pop-up,
      1. Enter the price as "$40" (in my example)
      2. Check the "Impacts Attendance" box.
      3. Check the "Customer's must select one" box (because we want at least one customer to sign up when booking.
      4. Save the change.
  14. Again on the right, scroll down to the "Cancellation and Refund Policy" section and edit it, by hovering over it.
  15. To preview, click the "Preview" button on the top-right corner to verify that event is set-up correctly.
