Creating schedule of available time slots for a private party

When creating a schedule of time slots you'd like to make available for private party bookings there are two important things to consider:

  1. Consider the most popular times you've seen be booked in the past
  2. Optimize the schedule for the maximum number of events per day

Consider the most popular times you've seen be booked in the past

Think back at previous bookings you've received for private parties. The most common start times you've seen in the past are likely what works best for the majority of your customers, so consider making those time slots available as options.

Optimize the schedule for the maximum number of events per day

While you may want to allow your customers to start their party "at any time they would like", this is not what's optimal for your business from a revenue perspective. To increase your revenue you would want to have the ability to host the highest possible number of parties per day. 

Imagine the following scenario:

Your hours of operation are from 10am - 5pm and your private party time slots are 2 hours long, with 30 minutes in between for cleanup. 

This is your optimal schedule, which will allow for a maximum of 3 parties to happen per day:
10:00am - 12:00pm
12:30pm - 2:30pm
3:00pm - 5:00pm

Any other start time you offer will limit the maximum number of parties you can offer per day to 2.


Please note, that regardless of the schedule of available time slots you choose to go with, you can always add a custom time slot if you'd like to accommodate a specific customer. You can do that from the Time Slots tab of the listing editor.
