Accept Apple Pay and Google Pay

Your customers can now check out using Apple Pay or Google Pay — no credit card entry required. They tap once, confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or their fingerprint, and they're booked.

This is available automatically if your account uses Square as your payment gateway. There's nothing you need to set up.

What your customers will see

When a customer visits your booking page on a supported device, Apple Pay or Google Pay will appear as a payment option alongside the standard credit card form.

  • Apple Pay is shown to customers on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch using Safari
  • Google Pay is shown to customers on Android devices or in Chrome on any device with a saved card

The customer selects their preferred method, confirms the payment with biometrics or a passcode, and their booking is complete — in a single step.

A few things to know

  • Which payment gateways support this? Apple Pay and Google Pay are currently supported on Square. If your account is connected to Square, your customers will see these options automatically at checkout.
  • Does the customer's card get saved for future bookings? No. Apple Pay and Google Pay don't share or store the customer's card number with Occasion. Each transaction is authorized through the wallet directly. This means if you ever need to collect a remaining balance on a deposit order, you'll need to reach out to the customer for their card details separately.
  • Does it work with deposits? Yes — customers can use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay a deposit at checkout. For collecting the remaining balance later, you'll need to take payment through another method.
  • Is there an extra fee? No additional Occasion fees apply. Standard Square processing rates apply as usual.
