How Inline Discounts Work with Coupons
Inline discounts stack with coupon codes. If a customer has already applied a coupon, you can still add an inline discount on top — the system ensures the combined discount never exceeds the order total.
FAQs
Can I remove a discount after applying it? Yes. Open the order, go to Invoices tab and clear the discount field. The total will update immediately.
Can I apply a discount to a fully paid booking? Yes. Just keep in mind that if the discount you apply exceeds the amount already paid, the order will show an Overpaid badge — that's your cue to issue a refund to the customer for the difference. That said, if a customer is owed money back, we'd recommend skipping the discount altogether and going straight to a refund. It's cleaner, faster, and keeps your records tidy.
Does an inline discount affect taxes? Yes. The system recalculates taxes and fees automatically when a discount is applied, following the same logic used for coupon discounts.
