How to Issue a Gift Card

  1. After logging into your workspace, navigate to the Gift Cards section from the sidebar menu
  2. Click "Issue a Gift Card" button
  3. Fill out the gift card form with the required information:
    • Amount: Set the gift card value
    • Expiration Date: Choose when the card expires
    • Type: Select "Store Issued" or "Customer Gift"
    • Delivery Details: Enter recipient information
  4. Review the details and click to complete the form and issue the card

Form Fields Explained

Understanding each field ensures you create the gift card correctly:

  • Amount: The monetary value to load onto the gift card (enter the dollar amount the recipient can spend)
  • Expiration Date: When the gift card will expire (if applicable) - leave blank for no expiration or set a specific date
  • Type Selection:
    • Store Issued: For compensation, promotions, or business-initiated gift cards
    • Customer Gift: For gift cards purchased by customers for others
  • Delivery Details:
    • Recipient's name and email address
    • Optional personal message that will be included in the gift card email
    • Sender information (if different from your business)

Important Notes:

  • The gift card will be automatically emailed to the recipient once issued
  • All issued gift cards appear in your Gift Cards Page
  • You can track usage and manage these cards the same way as purchased gift cards
