Want to let your art students know when you’re closed for a holiday or inform them about a special event? Announcements are the perfect tool to keep your customers in the loop. Here’s how to easily create and manage announcements for your art studio using Occasion.

What's an Announcement?

An announcement is like a virtual sign on the door of your art studio. It’s a quick and effective way to communicate important updates to your students, even if they aren’t booking a class. Here are a few examples of what you can do:

Creating Your Announcement

Here’s how you can easily set up an announcement for your art studio:

  1. Log into your Occasion workspace and go to "Listings" in the sidebar.
  2. Click on the "Templates" tab.
  3. Search for "Announcement" and click "Create Listing."
  4. Under the "Basic" tab, give your announcement a catchy title (e.g., "Studio Closed for Winter Break" or "New Year, New Art! Special Classes Coming Soon").
  5. Write a description to explain the details of your announcement (e.g., "Our art studio will be closed for the holidays. We look forward to seeing you in the new year for fresh creativity!").
  6. Go to the "Images" tab and upload an image—consider using photos of your studio or art-themed graphics to grab attention.
  7. Head to the "Timeslot" tab to set when your announcement should appear.
  8. Click "Preview" to see how it will look to your students.

And just like that, your announcement is live!

Editing Your Announcement

Need to make adjustments? No worries!

  1. Go to your Calendar Workspace.
  2. Locate and click on your announcement by selecting the appropriate date.
  3. To change the title or message, click "Edit Listing."
  4. To update the timing, click "Edit Time Slot."
  5. Want to remove the announcement? Click "Delete Time Slot."

Your changes will be reflected immediately for your students.
