What's an Announcement?

An announcement is like a friendly note on your skating rink’s door. It’s a quick way to inform skaters about important updates, even when they’re not booking a session. Here are some examples:

Create Your Announcement

Setting up an announcement for your skating rink is quick and easy. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log into your Occasion workspace and go to "Listings" in the sidebar menu.
  2. Click on the "Templates" tab.
  3. Search for "Announcement" and select "Create Listing."
  4. Under the "Basic" tab, give your announcement a catchy title (e.g., "Closed for the Holidays – See You Soon!" or "Extended Open Skate Hours This Weekend!").
  5. Write a description to detail your announcement (e.g., "Our skating rink will be closed for Christmas, but we’re back with more skating fun next week!").
  6. Go to the "Images" tab and upload a fun, vibrant image that reflects the excitement of skating.
  7. In the "Timeslot" tab, choose when your announcement should appear.
  8. Click "Preview" to see how it looks to your skaters.

And just like that, your announcement is live!

Editing Your Announcement

Need to make some changes? No problem! Here’s how you can edit your announcement:

  1. Go to your Calendar Workspace.
  2. Locate and click on your announcement by selecting the appropriate date.
  3. To change the title or message, click "Edit Listing."
  4. To adjust the timing, click "Edit Time Slot."
  5. Want to remove it? Just click "Delete Time Slot."

Your updates will be reflected immediately for your skaters.
