Manage Venues

In this article, you'll learn how to manage your venues (business locations):

There are two places you'll find a quick link to manage your venues:

  1. Go to your Listings and click the link in the top left that says "To manage venues, go to Business Locations".
  2. Go to Settings > My account > Business Locations.

The page will look like this:


Add or Duplicate a New Location

To add a new venue, go to Business Locations. Then simply click on "Add New Location".

Note: We recommend adding only venues that are in the same timezone. If your venues are in multiple timezones, then you should create an additional Occasion account.

To duplicate a venue, click on the overlapping square icons under "Action":

Note: When duplicating a venue, this does not duplicate listings existing under the original venue. It only duplicates the venue information.


Add a Physical Location

To add a physical venue, go to Business Locations. Then, proceed to select the location type.

When you select a Physical Location, you will be provided with fields that include an address, which is required to fill in.


Add a Virtual Location

To add a virtual venue, go to Business Locations. Then, proceed to select the location type.


Add an Off-Site Location

To add an Off-Site venue, go to Business Locations. Then, proceed to select the location type.

Note: If you think this type of location requires an address field, please reach out to us at help@getoccasion.com and let us know why you'd like to request this feature.


Delete a Location

Note: You cannot undo the deletion of a venue.

To delete a venue, go to Business Locations. Then, click on the trash icon under "Actions".

If the venue / location has active listings associated with it, you'll be asked to move all listings to a different and existing venue when deleting the original venue.


Override Customer Service Contact Info

Option 1: Use a different email and phone number than what is included as your main account.

  • De-select the checkbox that says "This venue uses the same customer service information as the main account":

Option 2: Use the same customer service information as the main account.

  • Select the checkbox.
  • This information can be found by going to Settings > My account > Business Information > Scroll down to the section called "Customer Service".
