Booking Fees: All Online Bookings

In this article, you will learn how Booking Fees are calculated, charged, and collected.

How Booking Fees are calculated

Our standard plan is $9 per month subscription and 4.5% booking fees. Therefore, your booking fees are 4.5% per booking, whether you pass the fee on to the customer or absorb it as the merchant.

All booking fees are capped at $11 per booking.

We have other plans available for a higher monthly subscription but a lower booking fee. If you're interested in learning more about those, reach out to our help desk at help@getoccasion.com.

Occasion collects Booking Fees when

  • The order is placed online via credit card.
  • The order has a cost associated. There are no booking fees on free events.

Occasion does not collect Booking Fees when:

  • The order is placed via Quickorder in cash.
  • The order is paid for with a Gift Card in full. (Learn more about Gift Card Booking Fees.)

If the order is paid partially with a Gift Card and with a credit or debit card, booking fees will be charged and collected based on the total before any discount.

  • The order is a free event or announcement.

How are Booking Fees Collected?
